First levels as a priest are very easy, you can easily make big pulls of mobs and aoe them down, in fact priest has a lot of aoe spells in the early levels but all of them are almost melee range and that's what i don't like of this class, most of your damage abilities require you to go melee range of mobs/players leaving you exposed.
Priest is squishy and wears cloth armors, so be ready to get tons of damage if an elite mob or a player hits you, but to balance that you get very powerful heals.
Healing in Tera is harder then in other games, where you target from the party list the person to heal and then press the heal you want to use. Most of the healing spells in Tera needs you to target the person you want to heal or the area you want to trow your healing over time spells and that requires you to move around to find the targets to heal and get closer to bosses or players and exposing yourself. I really enjoyed healing in instance, was fun and, unlike other games where the healer can stand still and spam the buttons, not easy.
Personally I had bit of troubles healing a low hp target while other players where around him and got damage from bosses while trying to do so (was first time i played!).
If you want an idea of how it is to heal as a priest watch this:
Priest is a good class and a powerful healer but lacks some fun elements Mystic (another healer/supporter class) has. The pve content up to level 22 could be done with a mystic healing the party instead of a priest without any problems.
Priest cons (up to level 22):
- Squishy - Low damage - Most spells are melee range - Not necessary for a successful group - Not good in solo pvp -
Priest pros (up to level 22):
-Best healing spells - A lot of aoe early game - Easy to find party for instance or elite mobs - Great in group pvp.
